ABOUT ME
I’ve always been curious about how things work. I was that kid that always wanted to take things apart and put them back together just to see how they worked. I somehow developed an intuition for problem-solving. I’ve always known I was different. Whether it was playing music by ear, or memorizing electrical wire patterns, I always felt that I had something special.
But it wasn’t enough for me. It took me almost 40 years to truly appreciate my gifts.
I spent my 20’s trying to acquire things. Knowledge, experience, money, material possessions, a relationship.
My 30’s were spent looking inward. Trying to find my purpose. Self-improvement. Struggle and Growth. It felt like trying to emerge from a cocoon unsure of what I needed to become.
Now as I enter my 40’s I realize that I’ve always been exactly who I needed to be all along. Although many times it may have felt that I wasn’t present in the moment. I don’t care to live that way any longer. Life is not a race to the finish.
It’s time to slow down. Enjoy the moment. Give my gifts to the world without hesitation or apology. This blog is an account of my growth over time as I rehash old memories and record new insights.
Thanks for being on this journey with me.

NEATER NEST
This is where I’m devoting my passion today. Founding this business rescued me from dead-end corporate life. I get to share my knowledge and unique problem-solving gifts with the world through the lens of home improvement.
Our house is really a reflection of ourselves. As we learn more about it and put in the work, the more we fall in love. I call it self improvement through home improvement. DIY is the original skill of mankind and we’ve lost it today. Our on-demand society makes it so that we don’t have to do anything for ourselves. There is a vast amount of confidence to be gained from DIY and all we need are a few tools and some curiosity.
Check out neaternest.com and see how you can change what’s possible between your 4 walls.
